MUSICAL HERITAGE ORGANIZATION
|
|
The Musical Heritage Organization is collecting analogue and digital sound recordings. Sounds, which are in the public domain, are digitized by Sounds.Earth (former CC-Zero-Project). Creative works of literature, science and art are subject to copyright law. Works in the public domain are those whose intellectual property rights have expired. With the help of volunteers, our team cleans, cataloged and digitized 78 rpm gramophone- and early vinyl records. After the clearing of copyrights, free works are available inside our media pool and Wikimedia Commons ( CC-Zero-Project, PD Project), compressed in FLAC without any loss in quality (24-bit/192kHz). Help us with a donation to preserve our cultural heritage! Thank you very much. Similar projects and interested people around the globe are warmly welcome to join the Wikimedia Digitization User Group which we have co-founded in 2015.
